The Wayne County Spring Soccer program is a way to promote the internationally popular game locally in a non-traditional way. In 2019, local soccer enthusiasts are establishing a competitive league -- with games to be played on the weekend only -- Saturday, Feb. 23 through Saturday, April 27 for youth between the ages of 3 and 18. No games will be played Saturdays, March 9 and 16 due to Spring Break for area school. A title tournament will be played on Saturday, May 11. All games will be played at The Fields of Waynesboro (behind Mi Casita restaurant).
Sign-ups can be completed online by going to SPRING REGISTRATION on the information bar at the top of the page.
For those who want to register in person, several dates have been established for sign-ups at the WAYNESBORO-WAYNE COUNTY LIBRARY'S BETTY CAIN HURT ROOM:

The Fields of Waynesboro soccer fields were constructed in late 2018
The Fields of Waynesboro is the 21st Century recreational sports facility for Waynesboro and Wayne County, Mississippi, as well as surrounding communities and counties in Southeast Mississippi and Southwest Alabama. Located on Azalea Drive (Mississippi Highway 184) in Waynesboro, this almost 90-acres site will ultimately become home to eight baseball-softball fields, seven soccer fields, walking tracks and playgrounds to name some of the amenities planned. Thanks to the financial generosity and in-kind construction support of community benefactors, businesses and industries, two regulation soccer fields have already been constructed with more improvements on the way. We invite you to join in our efforts to build something unique in Southeast Mississippi -- a venue that will draw together families and communities.
