Work continues through the summer to improve soccer facilities at The Fields thanks to the effort of Stuart Rowell and the Southern Land Contracting turf management team

Building the future

Thanks to the efforts of Stuart Rowell and the Southern Land Contracting turf management staff, the soccer playing surfaces at the Fields of Waynesboro are getting some vital and much-needed summer maintenance. The Fields' first-year featured a spring youth soccer league, the Lion Fest Christian music program and the Great Chickasawhay River Race post-race participants and sponsors' gathering. We're excited for what the future holds ... please help us in planning for all future improvements to The Fields by becoming a contributing supporter. FOR NOW THOUGH, PLEASE DO NOT UTILIZE THE FACILITIES AT THIS TIME DUE TO ONGOING MAINTENANCE, LEVELING AND GRASS RECOVERY. REMEMBER TO LOOK ONLY UNTIL WE WRAP UP THESE IMPROVEMENTS!

Welcome to The Fields of Waynesboro

The Fields of Waynesboro soccer fields

The Fields of Waynesboro soccer fields were constructed in late 2018

The Fields of Waynesboro is the 21st Century recreational sports facility for Waynesboro and Wayne County, Mississippi, as well as surrounding communities and counties in Southeast Mississippi and Southwest Alabama. Located on Azalea Drive (Mississippi Highway 184) in Waynesboro, this almost 90-acres site will ultimately become home to eight baseball-softball fields, seven soccer fields, walking tracks and playgrounds to name some of the amenities planned. Thanks to the financial generosity and in-kind construction support of community benefactors, businesses and industries, two regulation soccer fields have already been constructed with more improvements on the way. We invite you to join in our efforts to build something unique in Southeast Mississippi -- a venue that will draw together families and communities.
